The Official Royal House of Sori
.H.R.H. Princess Karen Chatman
The Official Royal House of Sori, Natchez Roots and Branches, and H.R.H Princess Karen Chatman together weaves centuries of resilience, nobility, and sovereignty, leaving an indelible mark on the African Diaspora. Long live the legacy of the Sori lineage!
Born in the 1700s, Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahima ibn Sori, born in Timbuktu, hailed from the royal family of Futa Jallon. Tragically, was captured, taken to the United States, and sold into slavery in 1788.
After 40 years of enduring enslavement in Natchez Mississippi, fate intervened. It was discovered that Prince Sori was indeed a member of royalty. He was freed. Prince Sori’s legacy has endured the test of time.
The enduring legacy of Prince Sori serves as a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural heritage. By acknowledging and honoring his story, we pay tribute to all those who have struggled for freedom, dignity, and equality throughout history. Prince Sori's legacy continues to inspire and unite people from diverse backgrounds, reminding us of the strength that lies within each of us to overcome adversity and build a more just and compassionate world.
